Emergency and urgent care

 Fast, responsible caretaking is critical when an emergency occurs. Our skilled technicians and knowledgeable veterinarians work together seamlessly to quickly respond to your ailing pet. During the emergency procedure, we will keep you informed of all treatment options and related costs so you remain up-to-date and involved with your pet's care.

Some of the emergency services we provide include:
  • Laboratory testing
  • Pet X-rays
  • Pain management
  • 24-hour hospitalization and monitoring  **
  • Emergency surgery
  • Setting broken bones
  • **Pets that are in critical state will be referred to the emergency animal hospitals listed below for overnight stays as we do not have staff during off-hours. Please refer to our home page for our office hours *
Urgent care services
We have urgent care appointments available for those situations that are not life-threatening but still require prompt attention. If you feel like an urgent care appointment is necessary for your pet, please call our office and we will arrange a time at which they can be seen.  
We see pets for any of the following crises requiring urgent attention:
  • Critical injuries or trauma (car accident, broken bone, animal attack)
  • Diarrhea or vomiting for long periods of time
  • Fever, shock, or depression
  • Poison ingestion (suspected or observed)
  • Severe pain, collapse, or more than one seizure within 24 hours
  • Trouble breathing or continual coughing
  • Urinary blockage
  • Excessive bleeding **
  • * * We will refer you to an emergency animal hospital if a blood transfusion is necessary. **
 If you think your pet may have ingested poisonous items and our office is not currently open, we advise you to call the Poison Control Center that's closest to you.
